Smelling the breeze

Saturday April 2nd, 2011

One of the family’s dog, Amber, is about to become 17 years of age on March 1st and that is about 119 in dog years.

She has gone deaf and blind a couple of years ago.

Yet she still lives on.

Today’s weather is an overcast.

The back door was opened and Amber sat near the door as she always have done for years sniffing in the breeze that blows around the garden for 5 minutes.

This taught me something that I have known for years.

“By being content and still.

By understanding and recognising what is there.

And by knowing things will be okay.”

With this lesson alone, once you get it.

Everything falls into place.
