Bittersweet

It is a bittersweet notion.

Self confidence that is.

It is about pushing yourself.

It is about making the pen work with the paper.

It is about being in the world and learning when to say yes or no.

It is about being scared and making mistakes, then learning how it can be resolved.

The bittersweet moment from going from zero to one.

And then back to zero.

Sometimes having that being of either zero or one can be just as neutral.

Like Yin and Yang.

Like The Beatles.

Like Laurel and Hardy.

Maybe some people don’t need self confidence and live off the other emotions such as self belief.

When you know what you are aiming for.

Self confidence can come in waves.

One moment you are high as a kit soaring over the ground.

The next you are on the ground trying to take off.

It is the in-between that keeps us neutral.

Or some people would say ‘reality’.

That word ‘reality’ can never be enough for most people.

Like Nikola Telsa, Steve Jobs or any of what people labelled as ‘crazy’.

People can live off the edge and come back with amazing ideas that you would never dream of.

Then the self confidence rises on its own without any nurturing or attending to.

Bittersweet.
