Dan, Dan, Dan. I loved your Fake Steve blog and now, you are becoming this person to do cheap shots and grabbing page views.
Let me dissect your post.
More important, is this really the best we can expect from an outfit that claims to be the most innovative company in the world? This is the sixth version of the iPhone, and the user interface still looks almost exactly like the original iPhone in 2007.
What about OS X? The user interface is the same as it has been since 2001 and evolved over the past decade. What do you want to happen on the iPhone? Dramatic eye candy? Sorry to be boring!
This is what happens when a company is too cheap to invest in research and development. Did you know that Apple spends far less on R&D than any of its rivals – a paltry 2% of revenues, versus 14% for Google and Microsoft?
I didn’t know that but hey, they changed the world with their small products line up. Ever heard of the expression “Less is more”?
No wonder the Android platform, where new models appear every week, now represents 68% of the smartphone market, up from 47% a year ago, while Apple slid to 17% over the same period.
Too many handsets with different hardware layouts, etc. “Android is winning” argument again.
In all, the entire article is so badly written that it has no directions or what exactly he is saying. Relying on rumours and writing about Apple from the media point of view is a poor analogy to make.
