Whatever you have thought of right now, I suggest you should start doing it.

Here is the list that from what I have learnt over time.

• Get rid of clutter that has been laying around. Do you really need that item? Sell or give it away. Do what you feel is best.
• Start thinking about whether you really need to buy that item from now on. Why do you want something that will be get left in the back of the drawer after a few weeks?
• If you want to do something dramatic, stick to it and see it through. You’ll learn something.
• Stop reading news that makes you feel crap. I have done this and felt way better. Sure if you miss out on conversation with friends but it makes you want to change the subject into something more funnier. Oh, I don’t know… something about a bowl of peanuts talking philosophy with the salt.
• Set up a saving account with only one withdrawal a year, put aside like minimum of £10 a month and leave it alone. You will be surprised how good you feel out of this knowing you are saving.
• Slow down. Rushing around like all the Bisy Backson in this world is no fun.
• Time, not money. When people think about money, they don’t seem to have passion. When you think about time, your attitude changes. Explore and learn about this.
• When you are passionate about something and when you get so annoyed about it is not working out as you thought. Let off steam and you will realise the little voice in the back of your head saying “Hey, there is a way to overcome this!”. That is when things starts getting better.
• Go green. Start at home by changing your old lightbulbs over to energy saving bulbs, grow your own vegetables, recycle your books… the list is endless and the benefits are enormous.
• Do what you love to do. I wrote about this.
• Go and spend a couple of hours at your local cafe shop. A real home brew version rather than Starbucks and the likes. Watch how people walks in, watch how the vibes in the place and watch how everyone interacts. The Bicycle Shop in Norwich is one of the places that I love spending time in. Give it a try.
• Get a big jar and fill it up with your 1p and 2p that you have in your pocket or laying around. Once it is full, give it away to charity.
• Continuing with the above, if you have 5p, 10p or 20p, get a bigger jar and start saving. Whatever the amount you get when the jar is full, you have a choice to treat yourself, your partner or your family to something or put it in the bank. The choice is yours.
• If you are scared of doing something new… It is because you never thought you would do it. Take that first step towards it today. The first ‘do’.
